Jolyon is extremely experienced in all aspects of landscaping and horticulture. He produces Autocad designs and construction drawings. He is ceaselessly looking for new ideas and introducing clients and staff to the wonders of the plant kingdom. 

He combines a belief that a beautiful garden is the synthesis of design, planting and the way which plants are used together to create a beautiful effect. He has a meticulous eye for detail and an almost pathological desire for tidiness (which he has passed on to his staff), even in a wild flower garden. Born in Chelsea and now living in Herefordshire and London, he is married with two children. When he is not working he is gardening at home. He dreams of having a garden that doesn’t suffer from potato blight and wishes someone would invent self-weeding vegetables.

Jolyon graduated from the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden design course, twenty plus years ago. Jolyon started gardening from the earliest of ages. By sixteen he was planting up window boxes and providing garden maintenance in Chelsea, London, by word of mouth; by twenty he had formed Greenstone and was formally providing an ever expanding range of services to an ever expanding list of clients. He brings to his work his extensive horticultural experience, born of different landscapes and gardens, both in Britain and abroad.
